To reiterate what the photo says above, my name is Adam Hall. I am an independent photographer, based in Connecticut and I’ve been working and practicing for over six years now.

Most of my work on this site consists of what I’ve done simply for fun. I’ve taken various freelance gigs consisting of sporting events, concert shoots, wedding anniversaries, public events, etc. I’ve even held a position as a portrait photographer for Lifetouch. But the work I’ve been most interested in presenting has always been what I’ve created out of sheer enjoyment for the craft; no gain other than having a beautiful image to go home with. So, that’s what this site will be focussed on more than anything.

I’m not going to get bogged down writing this, by giving you my biography, or an essay on why I love photography so much. It’s obvious enough that I do, otherwise I wouldn’t have made this. I will say that I love it because it’s fascinating and it’s endlessly satisfying. I love it because it allows me to capture something I find interesting, or beautiful, or often both. It also allows me to capture these complicated images in the blink of an eye, while still having them satisfy my emotions and hopefully showing others how exactly my eye works. I find those ideas to be very interesting. I’ve always believed that you can learn a lot about a person based on the pictures they’ve taken.

It’s very important to note that I do not alter any of my photos. I have plenty of experience with Photoshop, but I’ve never been comfortable using it for anything outside of advertisement. I believe that every image speaks for itself, exactly as it is, and I love capturing things in the moment for that reason. I wouldn’t see the point in taking those pictures in the first place if I were only going to change it in post and turn it into something it wasn’t when I let go of the shutter. So for that reason, unless I label it otherwise, all of my pictures on this site have been taken in-camera, without an alterations to the images after the fact.

I hope this is enough to go off of. I hope this page has told you enough about who I am and where I come from in the world of Photography. It’s obvious at this point that I try not to take myself too seriously, or come off as pretentious. That being said, I like to be serious enough where I can consistently produce great work, but also find ways to improve my craft and learn as much as possible. So, with that, I will close out this, “About” page. I recommend picking up a camera and starting a hobby as a photographer yourself. It’s a lot of fun.
